Our Mission
Our vision is to foster understanding of scientific and health information through rigorous and transparent data analysis in order to meet the challenge of mis-information and mis-interpretation of scientific research. Data, analyzed honestly and with an open mind can reveal truth.
Our Guiding Principle:
"Data, analyzed honestly and with an open mind can reveal truth."
Our Core Principles
Four fundamental principles will guide everything we do in our mission to combat health misinformation through rigorous data analysis.
Truth Through Data
We believe that data, when analyzed honestly and with an open mind, can reveal truth and counter misinformation in health sciences.
Transparency
All our methodologies are open and transparent. We provide detailed explanations of our analytical approaches and data sources.
Public Health Focus
Our work is dedicated to protecting public health by ensuring accurate information reaches healthcare professionals and the public.
Independence
As a non-profit organization, we maintain independence from commercial interests that might bias health data interpretation.
Key Objectives
Our aspirational goals for fighting health misinformation and promoting data-driven understanding of health research.
Rapid Response Goal
Build capabilities to provide quick, evidence-based responses to health misinformation using comprehensive electronic health record analysis.
Education Vision
Develop programs to educate the public and healthcare professionals about proper interpretation of health data and research findings.
The Challenge We Address
Health misinformation and misinterpretation of scientific research pose serious threats to public health. When studies are taken out of context, when data is cherry-picked, or when preliminary findings are presented as definitive conclusions, real harm can result.
Traditional peer review and scientific discourse, while essential, often cannot keep pace with the rapid spread of misinformation in our digital age. By the time formal rebuttals are published, incorrect information may have already influenced public health decisions.
Our organization aims to fill this critical gap by building the capability to provide rapid, evidence-based analysis using comprehensive health datasets. We plan to quickly validate or refute health claims using real-world evidence from large-scale electronic health records (partnership planned).
Our Vision for Impact
We envision a future where health decisions are made based on accurate, comprehensive data analysis rather than misinformation or incomplete interpretations of research.
Through our work, we aim to restore trust in health sciences by demonstrating that rigorous, transparent analysis can consistently reveal truth, even when that truth is complex or nuanced.
Ultimately, we seek to create a more informed society where both healthcare professionals and the public have access to reliable, evidence-based information to make critical health decisions.
